71 y/o F with multiple household animals presents with fever and a palpable area in the left axilla. What is the most likely diagnosis?
CAT-SCRATCH DISEASE
- Introduction of Bartonella Henselae by scratch/bite
- Patient has painful unilateral or regional lymphadenopathy
- Treated with or without antibiotics and symptoms subside in a few weeks
- Follow-up US imaging can be performed to ensure resolution/appropriate post-treatment changes
