41 y/o F presents for screening MRI. What are the bilateral masses?

SIMPLE CYSTS

  • A circumscribed, round or oval, fluid-filled mass with an imperceptible wall
  • Signal characteristics are usually bright on T2W images, although benign cysts may have variable signal characteristics.
  • Cysts are characteristically benign if no enhancing solid elements are detected.
  • Wall of a cyst can enhance; this is also a benign finding if thin and uniform.
