GRANULOMATOUS MASTITIS
Noncaseating, nonvasculitic inflammatory disease of unknown origin
Association with
Corynebacterium
Affects young women within 6 years of pregnancy
Painful, palpable mass; can have tracts to the skin surface
US: Mass-like tubular hypoechoic structures
Tx: Steroids (1st line); surgical excision considered if persistent or recurrent
