44 y/o F with presents with a left breast palpable area. What is the most likely diagnosis?

GRANULAR CELL TUMOR

  • Uncommon, usually benign with neural origin
  • Aka Abrikossoff’s tumor
  • Most are benign, 1% malignant
  • Younger age of presentation (pre-menopausal)
  • Can mimic breast cancer clinically (fibrous, hard) and in imaging features
  • Tx: Wide local surgical excision to prevent recurrence
