DYSTROPHIC CALCIFICATIONS

  • Seen with fat necrosis
  • Progressive over the years
  • Develop after surgery, radiation or trauma
  • Mammo: Can see large dense calcifications or peripheral calcifications with a stippled curvilinear appearance
  • Important to differentiate from recurrent malignancy
